Hello. I´ve tried contacting A1 while in Austria but noone speaks English.Tried on the phone and via email but nothing.Hope you guys can help me.I bought a A1 chip for my iphone 4 in Vienna. Now i´m travelling round Europe and i still want to use it. My guess is that roaming is what i need. I did not activate it in Vienna, now i´m in Prague but my phone says ´no signal´.Can i activate it while being in Prague?Thank you very much.Dankeshen.
Hi Alejandro, welcome to the A1 Forum Community! There is no need to activate a roaming feature in order to use your phone outside Austria. That’s because roaming is already activated right from the start. You will find all information on roaming here > http://www.a1.net/apps/privat/roaming/voice/bfreeworld?cid=40172 . Did you already search for other network carriers on your mobile phone? Just switch the network search mode from automatic to manual! Best regards,Christianedit: Please consider, that roaming is not possible with B.FREE BREITBAND!
Hey there Christian! Thanks for writing. So you basically say that in order for me to be able to use the phone, i have to switch from carrier manually. I´ve done that and not much happened. I still get the ´no signal´ message. But then you tell me that roaming is not possible with B.FREE BREITBAND.How do i know if i´ve got B.FREE BREITBAND??Thanks VERY much for your help.

Bfree Breitband is the A1 prepaid data system. Like the BFREE prepaid phone card where you top up money, "Breitband" is used for mobile internet surfing. So it's actually the question which "Starter Package" you bought. BTW: If you call 0800 664 664 (if you're still abroad and it won't work replace the 0800 with 0043664^^) and press button 4 you'll be put through to an English speaking agent. 🙂
I got the B.FREE Welcome Package.Roaming should work right?Should i always chose Vodafone as alternative carrier? Thanks again, you´ve been the ONLY person to help me since i got my phone.
Oh fuck i got the b.free welcome breitband package! The lady who sold it to me said that i could use it in other countries!Worst thing is before leaving austria i loaded it with 40 euro.Wow, useless right?I will call the helpline, thanks man.
You're welcome. Yeah, give them a call. Maybe there's a way that they can activate the roaming.
I called this number and theres no way i´m getting someone to talk in english.I´ve pressed 4 and nothing.Actually i´ve pressed 1,2,3,4 and nothing.Kinda frustrating.Any other number? Excuse me being so demanding, but i´d like try to solve this little problem.
