I don't think that a change of the DNS will work, because a DNS is only a phone book for IP adresses it has no impact on your IP adress and the geo location database from netflix.



The way to become an US IP:



A) an Proxy Server in the United States - Could be very slow is not my preffered solution for streaming

Thats not an acceptable answer.  I dont want to watch netflix through a web browser.  I want to use one of my devices such as an Xbox or a Samsung Smart TV to watch.  For these, the VPN or whatever needs to run through the router, and I dont see any method of doing that - with an A1 branded router that is.

If you would like to establish a connection via VPN or other tunneling methods for non-PC devices, best option is to add a second router, which is capable to do this, between the A1 router and your streaming box.

 

But be aware, you might need some networking know-how ...
