Hello and sorry for having to write in english.Tomorrow my magenta contract will end and i don’t want another product from them anymore so i am looking into A1.My question is,will i be better off with the hybrid connection or the dsl only one? My mobile reception is pretty bad here and using the fonira website i checked my dsl and the highest one for my address is only 20mbps.I was interested in maybe ordering the a1 internet 50 online to test it for a few days and see how it will act.My biggest issue with magenta was the packet loss which was well over 50% sometimes due to the internet flex option working only on mobile signal.I’m not interested in extremely high speeds but a packet loss free connection and a stable one.If i will get atleast 30mbps out of the 50 from the package i will be more than happy. How is everyones else experience with this packet?I live in Graz.8055 and so far i only had horrible experience with the internet service.

Try a pure cube version first, if possible. A1 can tell you how much you can get via DSL. So test the cube solution and add your speed test results to that value. Then you know how much you will get in sum.
If the DSL values are very low, go for a 5G solution. Hybrid is only 4G for now.

If you can live with 20Mb/s I would take it as DSL-only. Much troubleless than Hybrid as mobile part on bad or weak connection may take down even below pure DSL-connection.

Yes 20mbps is more than enough as long as i won’t get any more packet loss and it will be stable. The thing is that i don’t see any dsl only option on their website,is this an option available only in store?

No, you only have to order a profile that wont need Hybrid, then it will be done as DSL only. If you take (dont know exactly but lets say more than 20%) above DSL you will get Hybrid automatically, no possibility to choose.

Well seeing how my dsl speed is way smaller than anything that they offer i guess hybrid is the only choice for me since getting a mobile only connection again is out of the question.

Try to take 30Mb/s only, if you are lucky you get DSL only. Even possible to disable mobile connection and stay with DSL on a hybrid modem. But then other modems might be better for you. Otherwise you may upgrade later if you could get close to 50 with hybrid.

Most likely i will order the a1 internet 50 tomorrow, altough i would also go and get it in store but i don’t know if there’s going to be a 14 day test trial like the online one.I need an internet connection and i have no idea how long it will take to be shipped here.If it’s 2-3 days that’s ok but if it’s going to be longer than 1-2 weeks that won’t be so good.

I dont know whether you get the modem in the shop - more likely not (only mobiles or cubes). Even if you may order there I dont think you would get the modem immediately, it will be sent like online.

Go in a shop and ask specifically for your DSL bandwidth. They can also tell you if you can get your access sooner or later - depending if there is a need for a technician or not and how frequently they have orders/missions to fulfill.
