A1 Mobile Static IP + Firewall off: no NAT

Dears,

Sorry, my written German is too terrible so I write in English to be sure you understand my issue :)

I have the "A1 Net Cube Internet L" + a personal E5186s-22a. And everything works fine...
Now I wanted to access my NAS through internet and realised the hard way in front of me...
After reading a lot here (thanks for this community page this is very helpful), I am stuck again :(

1) I setup my router to route few ports to my NAS (tried UPNP setup, direct setup in the UI)
2) I turned off the "firewall option" in the A1 management page
3) I bought the A1 Mobile Static IP option (and restarted my router to register with the good ip address)

But still no luck, the port routing is not working (tried also telnet with no luck 😞 )

Is there something else I need to do to make it work ?

Hello Tekka,

please call the Serviceline 0800664100. Say you want the all ports open configuration on your Sim Card.
That should fix your issue with your NAS.
The function firewall off will not open every port.

Hi Patrick,

I followed your advice, and after 3 different persons telling me the issue was solved, I just have to restart my modem (and nothing changed 🙂 ) I finally manage to end up on someone who actually knew what to do :)

Problem solved !! Thanks a lot

Now I m wondering, do I really need to keep this expensive "static ip" option ? Or is there a way to have a dynamic one still with all open ports ??

There is a option for a public dynamic IP. It costs about 2€
