I am so dissapointed from A1. 

I dont understand how you claim on having good  connection rate for your costumers all over Vienna, when you dont even support your clients besides overcharging them every month.

 

Since I got A1 every month the bill has been higher than expected. If I am supposed to pay 30 euros per month for wifi, A1 asks for 40-42 euros. ( no one tells you the real price in the begining of your contract, you should undestand A1 doesnt tell you that you have to pay taxes , additional costs, and installations costs on top of the initial price)

Anyway i kept paying A1 bills cause at least i had good connection. 

Now the crazy thing happend two weeks ago when i decied to add a new Huawei 4G router wireless Prime 3 for my girlfriends place from A1 shop. 

 

A1 shop assistant said for 50 euros per month you will get 80mbps. 

I thought it was a good deal and i paid and got it. 

After i go home and try my wifi i could see no more than 10 mbps and i could connect with only one device. 

I wait for 24 hrs nothing changed.

Now here this story gets ridicilous...

I go again to the shop , the shop assistant whom i dont remember the name , lied to me face to face.  Why?? I tell you!

He asked me to " give the router sometime " so that it can get used to the new  location and "stabilize". I didnt know this sentence was going to put me in so much troubles.

Anyway I thought he was for real and wanted to  actually help me.

I wait 4-5 days nothing happened. 

I go again to the shop i say i want change my router or get a new one or cancel the contract. 

 A1 shop assistant told me he can change the router but thats all he could do for me. 

I felt robbed immediately . 

Anyway , i take the new router with new card i try at home, i wait 24 hours for my wifi to "stabilize" as the shop assistant asked to me do. 

Nothing happends. 

Router is still not working accordingly. 

Only 10mbps , i cannot download anything 

and only 2 device can be connected apprx. 

 

I go again for third time to the shop and now it has been 1 week since i purchased my router. 

The shop assistant now tells me for the first time ever that  the contract is made for 2 years and he cannot do anything to change or fix my router nor cancel my contract. He said you have 7 days to see if the router works or not, after that you cannot return it anymore. 

But how should i know this if i go to store and the assistant asks me to give sometime to the router to "stabilize".  

 

So until 7 days after purchasing the Wifi router , i could return it back if it wasnt for the assistant with his stupid advice: "Give it some time to stabilize". 

He should have told me i was still in time to change or cancel my contract when it was day 5. But no , he asked  me to go home again and again and wait for some more days until there is nothing i can do. I dont know why this company and their staff are doing this. Now they want me to pay 1200 euros worth of contract for an internet  router that doesnt work.

 

Ohh by the way, i have called A1 technician and costumer support numbers every day at least 5-6 times a dayz 

You have to wait 15-20 min on the line for them to answer. 

I ve been lucky 4 times only for them to pick up. 

3/4 times they asked me to hang on as they are talking with their supervisor , they never answer again , and you are left on waiting for no reason. 

1/4 acted like he couldnt hear me and hanged up the phone after me waiting 20 min for him to answrt.

Now , A1  left me  with internet for just a facebook post or whatsapp call. I dont have connection for my online tutorials, for work and etc. and they still want to get paid in the end of month. 

What about me A1? How shpuld i get paid if i dont have internet cnnection. 

This is robbery and if this happends to students like who cannot afford such things imagine to other people. 

I started buying prepaid cards with internet from other companies just to have connection at home , meaning im spending more money nw.

 

 

Also A1 makes sure everytime you buy a new product or add somthing to your contract, they extend your contract for 2 years eihtout asking you. They say its automatic and you sign for this. 

 

Whoever is reading this post ,

Everything I said cannot be more true. 

I dont want to fight against this company, i just need at least 20mbps on my router so i can continue studying and working and pay thier bills. 

If anybody has suggestion please let me know. Thank you

Well, it’s a mobile internet connection and if the network reception isn’t good at your location or a lot of people in your area rely on the A1 mobile network you can have a bad experience.

You could try if you can switch over to DSL (since the plans are very similar in terms of maximum Speed and pricing) and they should be more reliable. Please upload a screenshot of the A1 product availability page of the section “Internet für zuhause” for your address and a screenshot of the kapper DSL availability check of the section “Diese Technologien und Maximalbandbreiten sind über das Wählamt "____________" verfügbar” for your address in order to see and discuss what would be possible.

 

And by the way, the typical internet-contract from A1 is always a two-year contract, but there are other options (at least and especially for mobile-internet) if you know about them (they are rater well hidden on the website). And it is interesting that the shop assistant quoted you 50€/month for this plan when it should be 39.90€/month. And yea even I would wait 24 hours after activation to judge if everything works properly but if it's not better then, something is wrong.

 

In the meanwhile, you could also try to find a better position for your router.
