A1 took my money almost 200 Euros.

Hi, My name is Juha.

I am in big trouble, because A1 telekom company took 190 Euros from my debit card account.


I activated my card to pay one time a month when I need to use data. Each time 10 euros, not 190 euros.

Reason? I visited A1 branch twice, they said “we don’t know.”


On Christmas I noticed it, cuz I visited McDonald’s, and my card didn’t work on machine.

It was just 8 euros though.

It means, A1 telekom took money until my account is empty.


It’s damn crazy.

I checked how many times they did it.

It was 19 times. Each time was 10 euros.

it happened until I couldn’t pay for just hamburger and account is *** empty.


When I visited first time to A1 branch after this,

One staff said “I’ve never seen this thing happened. But we can’t help you. You used Be free. Be Free is about calling. You gotta call to Be Free. We are separated. A1 and Be free.”


WHAT THE HELL.

I got this product from other A1 branch.

They sell this to customer, but when customer is in trouble, they pretend they are unrelated.

How RESPONSIBLE.

After being taken money though, I NEVER couldln’t use INTERNET, CALLING WHATEVER AT ALL.


And I explained it all though, he just said “I will give you number, call them.”

That’s it.


So I came back to home, and I called them.

Number was unavailable.


I visited different branch again.

I asked them to help.

One staff of them tried to know the why. Because even he said “What the hell.”

He recognized how it is serious.

He called to A1 Headquarter.


But still he couldn’t hear the reason from them.

And He was really feeling sorry to say this.


“They say It might be your fault, but if you want to money get back, you have to write something for ‘OBJECTION’ on ‘OBJECTION PAPER’. But we can’t give you the paper, because we have no form. I am sorry.”


THAT’S IT.

My fault? wow.

I just used only 2.5G internet.

Even they took 190 euros but I couldn’t use data or call.

This company didn’t refund my money back right away, but said It might be my fault.

and said If I want my money back, submit objection paper in German.


This is just hilarious.

I want to share this story and get opinion. How can I handle this?

 

This is my Korean Debit card account.

Each time happening means 10 euros.

 

In 3 days it happened.

As you see, on 24th 12, they took 70 euros (7 times)

on 26th 12, they took 40 euros (4 times)

on 27th 12, they took 80 euros (8 times)

My best guess what happened is (not knowing if such a system is implemented), that you allowed your credit card to be charged when the sim cards balance is empty. When you run out of data you will be automatically charged again. Have you chosen your tariff for the sim card? After the initial 5gb (5.000 free units, min/sms/mb) you have no tariff and you have to chose one. Not doing so, you end up with the basic tariff with not data units, meaning you pay € 6,4 per mb, emptying your balance basically immediately and your card gets charged again.

 

In that case, yes, it is your fault because pre-paid is always a kind of self-servicing. That said, the advice you got is the right one: address a letter*. I don’t think you have to write in in German, English should be fine – at least you are making contact and establishing communication on that matter.

 

You can also wait for an A1 mod to answer you here but be aware that this platform is a community by users for users, so the response time from an operator could take a while.

 

Nether the less it’s important to establish any kind of communication so you and A1 can find a solution.

 

* fax to +43 800 664 101 is the fastest way.

But As I wrote, I couldn’t use data or call at all.

It means I paid for nothing.

 

Even I was lost in the street, I couldn’t use google map, out of data after this happening though.

Still people can say it is my fault? I do not think so.

You have to take a closer look at this. This requires your customer data (phone number and customer password) so that they can help you and take a closer look at why so much money was booked. The User Help User Forum is unfortunately the wrong place to go. You can either contact the A1 Live Chat at www.A1.net/in-kontakt-treten, or you can find one of our other service channels at www.A1.net/kontakt. Or just send a fax to us as cos.renegade wrote. Is of course also possible in English. Either way, you have to take a closer look at this with you.

I visited right places.

Cuz All A1 shops for working ‘A1’

and I customers also buy products or use service from there.

So far, two of staffs called B.Free and tried to find the reason for me.

 

I also asked A1 to send me ‘Data Usage Record’

You know what? they said “No, we can’t give you.”

 

haha.That’s funny.

I’ve never seen this kind of poor service.

I have a right to know my usage record for call or internet as an user.

 

Why not? A1 company handle this really horrible.

 

Anyway with a one staff’ help, I sent objection paper by fax.

I am waiting for receiving my money back. It’s not their money.

 

Otherwise I’m gonna translate this in German or any language for people who use this A1 telecom.

We should know this for preparing against this kind of stealing.

People have right to know what we are using.

So.. Why you added comment? for what? haha I don’t understand.

 

It’s done (fax) and and i’ve been waiting for an answer from this company.

I hope they answer me about this situation.

And also I wrote this, cuz people have right to know this circumstance.

If you lost or got stolen your money for nothing, you couldn’t be cool :))
