wifi set up in english from iphone

Hello , I so sorry my German is not very good for this problem. I have bought from the post office Wi-Fi router box . I have registered at the post office . I now need to put the sim -card number in my phone but the number will not be excepted and it’s says I have one last chance left ! 
In my iPhone I have gone to mobile data and clicked on sim pin I. There are two sim numbers on the card 

Pin 2543

Pin2 4672

but both numbers won’t be excepted . I am putting the wrong numbers in my phone ? They are they only 4 digit numbers I have .
please please help I really need WiFi . Im in quarantine in St Anton . I have tried to ring but my German just isn’t good enough for this problem

Is the SIM Card inside the router or inside the Phone?

If it’s inside the router, you need to connect over wifi to your router. The wifi name and password ( Key) is printet onto the router.

If it’s inside the router, you need to connect over wifi to your router. The wifi name and password ( Key) is printet onto the router.

Ive been told to put the sim in the phone and enter the pin . I still can’t get WiFi . I have 4g bit I need WiFi router to work . I need internet for my laptop 

please help !!!!

So if the phone ask for a pin then enter the pin. If you mistyped the pin for 3 times, you need the PUK. Your phone will explicitly ask for the puk. If you mistyped that for 10 times, the SIM card destroies it self. 

 

 

What is the error message on your phone?

I’ve put the pin in but what do I do now . Do I put the sim in router ? . It’s router that I really need . Please help

Hello @ajhoulbrook1981 

So you have now managed to enter the pin of the sim card on your iPhone. While the Sim is in your iPhone you can disable the pin when you go into the Settings → Mobile Data → SIM PIN and flip the switch into the off position.

When the pin is disabled you can put the Sim Card into the router, power it on and connect with the WiFi of the router (name and password on the bottom of the router).

But you don’t need to disable your pin with the iPhone. You can also put the sim card into the router, power it on & connect to the routers WiFi network and disable the pin via the configuration page of the router (192.168.1.1, also available in English).

You could also leaf the SIM in your iPhone and make a hotspot for your laptop but I guess you have another sim for calls in there.

Yes, please try these steps:

  1. Connect to the WiFi network of the router.
  2. Open any web browser and go to 192.168.1.1 or  hh40.home (if it doesn’t open automatically).
  3. You should be greeted by the configuration panel of the router. In the top right corner, you can switch the language from German (“Deutsch”) to English (or any other suitable language).

     

  4. Next, enter the password “admin” and click the “Log in” button.

     

  5. You will be prompted to change the default password but you can skip this for now by clicking “Cancel”.

     

  6. Now you should be on the “Home” page of the configuration panel. Please check if it prompts you to enter the Sim Pin (“Enter PIN” Button). If it does click on the button and follow along with this guide. If it doesn’t you can skip the following steps and please provide a picture of the home page of the routers’ configuration panel.

     

  7. Enter the pin of the sim card in the text field.

     

  8. Click on the “Apply” button.

     

  9. Next toggle the switch from “PIN code activated” into the off position (“PIN code deactivated”)

     

  10. It will prompt you to disconnect from the mobile network. Click on the “Disconnect” button.

     

  11. Now you need to enter the pin code again and click “Apply”

     

  12. Lastly, we need to go back to the “Home” page of the routers’ configuration panel in order to connect to the mobile network.

     

  13. On the “Home” page please click on the “Connect” button. Give it a second and you should now be good to go and use the internet.
