Hello,

I bought a A1b.free card in the A1 shop in Kertnerstrasse 48 in  Vienna on 16.1.2020. I was asking for a mobile number so I can use the internet and calls throughout the EU. The lady gave me a card and charged me 25 euro. I understood the card was charged and that I should register to start using it. This Saturday I registered it and the card has 0 balance. Can someone tell me why? What happened to the 25 euro I paid in?

The fiscal receipt has 3 items on it: 5 euro for A1 Satrtklar Service basic, again 5 euro for Satrtklar Service Prepaid Registerung and 15 euro for B.free Wp Voice Tourist 2019. I've tried serving the A1 site to see what amount of minutes, SMSs and GB I was supposed to get for this amount. I can't figure it out! Can someone please tell me?

Also, I don't get how many minutes, SMSs and GB of internet I'll be getting with the top up. Can someone please tell me?

Finally, the A1 site keeps asking me to register some other type of package. I'd like it transparently know how much minutes, SMSs and GB of internet I will have with a given top up. Should I now re-register?

Can the app be set to use the English language? Or should I install the app for another country even though the number is Austrian?

Thank you!

Hello @Dragana74 ,

With B- Free prepaid card ,no roaming possible This only works with a contract.

@daniel5610

What is the official A1 email address for complaints?  If you're correct then I was defrauded and I'd like to lodge an offical complaint.

Hallo @Dragana74

Yea the Kärntnerstraße store is tailored towards tourists and seems to have some specials.

So you paid 10€ (5€ + 5€) for the SIM card to be fully activated and registered in-store (which didn't happen, since you registered it online? yourself last week).

Furthermore, a starter set should cost 9,90€ (not 15€, such as this tourist version). The Voice starter set is preloaded with 5.000 units as minutes, SMS or MB (for use in Austria only).

No, you can’t set the language of the A1 App to English and the A1 apps from other counties won’t work.

And as it was already mentioned with a new A1 B.Free prepaid SIM EU roaming is no longer possible.

As a normal consumer, you can’t contact A1 via E-Mail. You could go to an A1 store or you can send them a message via the contact form (available Mo-Fr 10:00 p.m. to 8 a.m. and Sa, Su & holidays 8 p.m. to 10 a.m.). But sadly I highly doubt that you would get your money back.
