Series Aufnahmen

How can you record TV shows from a series? I know how to go to EPG and select a show for "aufnahmen". But I want to record the remainder of these for the rest of the series. Since I am not around continuously I do not want to manually select this each week. How to do it?

Hi,

there is no feature for automatically recording a whole series, I am afraid. You can programm via EPG a little more than a week in advance. A show airing today for example and then go to next tuesday and programm the next episode.

When you´re not at home you can use the A1 TV App for programming recordings, but also only manually.

I see. The use of the A1 app is useful information. Once I record a show with it, can I then watch that show on the app itself?

that´s not possible, I´m afraid. Your Mediabox Recorder (which must be turned on by the way, or better still be in standby mode) does the actual recording. The recordings can then be viewed on the mediabox recorder, or via "Meine Medien" on other mediaboxes in the same household (or network to be more exact technically). but not on the app.

Thanks for the explanation. What good is this app? In fact now that I have left Austria for a while it doesnt even allow me to schedule recordings anymore. It says that I must be on the same WLAN as the A1 festnetz.

Does anyone at A1 care about what is available in other markets? For instance with the Dishanywhere app you can watch live, schedule recordings/series, watch recordings everwhere in the world.

Hi nmstough,

there are legal reasons for that, this has to do with broadcasting rights. The App allows you to watch TV on Smartphones and Tablets if you are connected with an A1 wifi Modem, belonging to an account with A1 TV Plus. If that is the case, there are no legal issues.

If you could watch TV anywhere in the world with the app, regardless which internetconnection is used, we would need more extensive broadcasting rights, which would make the app rather expensive.

There is a new product for mobile TV, A1 NOW.
